2. Job Description
OpenStack Deployment and Operations:
- Manage the OpenStack environment, including setup, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of components such as Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, Swift, and Horizon.
- Ensure OpenStack system availability, optimizing and troubleshooting issues related to stability and performance in accordance with SLA requirements.
- Design and manage virtual networks (SDN), complex networks, and VLAN/VXLAN configurations based on specific needs.
Ceph Storage System Management:
- Set up, configure, and monitor Ceph storage infrastructure, optimizing the system for performance and scalability.
- Monitor and analyze Ceph performance metrics to adjust necessary configuration parameters.
- Collaborate with application teams to ensure storage infrastructure availability and performance per SLA, including upgrades, backups, and routine maintenance activities.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Deploy and operate monitoring tools and automated alert systems to detect and resolve issues promptly.
- Investigate and address system-related problems, handling requests from users and other departments within the organization.
- Coordinate with the security team to ensure system safety, including regular security patch audits and updates.
Optimization and Upgrades:
- Optimize system resources and performance, ensuring stability under high workloads.
- Update and upgrade OpenStack and Ceph components as needed, maintaining the system in a secure and stable state.
3. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Linux system administration (equivalent to LPIC-2 or LPIC-3).
- At least 2 years of experience working with open-source platforms, particularly in operating large-scale systems.
- Experience in managing virtualization and cloud systems (KVM, VMware, OpenStack, etc.).
- Knowledge and experience with virtual networking (VLAN, VXLAN, SDN), distributed storage, and system scalability.
- Proficiency in using and managing OpenStack, including key components such as Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, and Swift.
- Strong understanding of Ceph architecture and operations (Ceph Block, Ceph File, Ceph Object), with the ability to handle complex performance and incident scenarios.
- Scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or Ansible).
- Experience with system monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar).
Additional Skills:
- Good understanding of cloud security standards and requirements such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues independently and efficiently.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with other departments to ensure service continuity.
