VTV.vn – Tailor-Made Digital Transformation Solutions for Businesses

VTV.vn – The digital economy accounted for an estimated 16.5% of GDP in 2023, growing at 20%, three times the GDP growth rate.

The year 2023 was considered a “pivotal year” for Vietnam’s digital transformation, with a focus on digital data, digitization, and the establishment of national databases. In 2024, efforts continue to advance digital transformation, aiming to integrate it into everyday life and drive breakthroughs in socio-economic development.

To succeed in digital transformation, the ability to process data quickly and securely while managing it effectively is critical. This poses a significant challenge for Vietnamese businesses. Additionally, the trend of migrating data to the cloud and leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the digital transformation landscape.

To address the challenges of digital transformation, particularly in the context of cloud computing adoption, CDNetworks and Sunteco have recently formed a strategic partnership to provide a comprehensive technology service platform. This includes services to accelerate access and enhance cybersecurity for enterprise systems, alongside a commitment to strengthening security solutions.

“Through our partnership with Sunteco, we aim to underscore our commitment to supporting and accelerating the digital transformation journey of Vietnamese businesses. CDNetworks will assist in bringing the digital services and content of Vietnamese enterprises to the global stage, helping them enhance their position and competitiveness internationally,” said Mr. Phan Viet Linh, Director of CDNetworks Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Le Chau, Director of Sunteco Joint Stock Company, stated that the collaboration with CDNetworks will enable the company to offer customized product packages for individual businesses.

“We will ‘tailor’ service packages for each enterprise, particularly for small and medium-sized businesses, ensuring optimal quality and cost-effectiveness,” Mr. Chau emphasized.

According to the National Committee on Digital Transformation, digital transformation has been identified as a key priority and a breakthrough in achieving socio-economic development goals. The government, the Prime Minister, and various sectors and localities have prioritized digital transformation, focusing on developing the IT industry, digitizing economic sectors, digital governance, and digital data.

Significant progress has been made in refining institutional frameworks and policies to promote digital transformation. To date, 21 ministries and agencies and 62 localities have issued Digital Transformation Plans for 2024; 14 ministries and agencies and 52 localities have published lists of databases; the National Population Database has been integrated with 18 ministries and agencies, 63 provinces and cities, and 4 enterprises, successfully synchronizing over 268 million pieces of citizen information and processing more than 1.5 billion identity verification requests.

The National Committee on Digital Transformation’s report highlights that 80.2% of households now use broadband fiber-optic Internet; 100% of communes are connected to fiber-optic Internet; 4G mobile broadband covers 99.8% of the population with stable quality; and the provision of online public services has been significantly enhanced, with 80.44% of fully eligible administrative procedures offered online.

Notably, the digital economy’s share of GDP was 11.91% in 2021 and 14.26% in 2022. In 2023, it reached an estimated 16.5%, with a growth rate of 20%, three times the GDP growth rate. In the first quarter of 2024, the IT industry’s revenue reached nearly $36.3 billion, a 17.7% increase compared to the same period last year, while IT product exports hit $31 billion, up 17%.
