1. Job Description
As a Cloud DevOps engineer, you will own the infrastructure and platform, step by step expand the system from small scale to higher scale with teams. You will be partnered closely with the Product team, Software team to build a product road map and align product strategies for the business.
- Collaborate with platform team and product team to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into an infrastructure development plan
- Build and operate the Cloud platform based on KVM and Container platform
- Build and operate the Storage System
- Build cloud system high availability solutions
- Build cloud system backup and recovery solutions
- Manage cloud system access and system logs
- Manage resource quota, set alert, make resource scaling plan.
- Audit, test and evaluate cloud system performance and security.
- Support CI/CD
- Manage the supporting ticket system, handle troubleshooting and response to users
2. Your Skills and Experience
- Got either infra or platform experience:
- Experience in KVM based on OpenStack DevOps, knowledge about OpenStack components (i.e. Cinder, Keystone etc.) and their APIs interfaces. Or;
- Experience in Container platform, such as K8S, GKC, EKS or OpenShift and their APIs interfaces.
- Lack one of these above is ok, you will be trained by other experienced engineers.
- Experience in building Storage system, especially CEPH and block storage.
- Experience in HA, backup, recovery, log management, system monitoring solutions. Large scale system experience is a big plus
- Experience in Infrastructure system troubleshooting.
- Understand Linux, Networking and Virtualization
- Able to use DevOps tools such as Ansible and script programming (Bash, Python)
- Nice to have experience in AWS, GCP or MS Azure
- Willing to research and try new technologies
